This is NOT a workshop

This is not a workshop, nor will any other posts in this blog be. This is not professional development as it has been defined for the last 10 years for teachers. Its my experience that a workshop rarely changes teaching. Experiences change teaching. What has been a professional development experience that changed the way you teach?

    Mentoring has changed my teaching. I think that just being in another teacher's classroom that actually cares about doing a GREAT job inspires you to become better yourself. Unfortunately, not every class I've been in has had that impact, but it's nice to have the opportunity.

    Thanks Brenda! Let me know if you have any thoughts on what you would keep/change if we could completely revamp the EYT program without PRAXIS in the picture.
